E3 is this week, and thanks to publishers announcing their E3 conferences well ahead of time, we have a decent idea of what to expect and when to expect it. It's a big year with next-gen in the wings. They won't release until at the earliest, but we'll certainly hear about them - Xbox is set to showcase their next console, and though Sony isn't at the show this year, already confirmed PS5 specs means third-party publishers are likely to show off some games. This page presents you with a complete E3 conference schedule in chronological order, as well as some background reading so you know what to expect. But as always, expect a few surprises.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo E3 was the 25th Electronic Entertainment Expo , during which hardware manufacturers, software developers, and publishers from the video game industry presented new and upcoming products to the attendees, primarily retailers and members of the video game press. Many companies held its press conferences in the days prior, with the exception of Sony , which for the first time in its history skipped E3. During the show proper, developers and publishers ran exhibition booths that allowed industry members, the press, retail representatives, and the public to try out the new games and talk with the creators.

The company's E3 press conference is set to take place on June Cut to the new Ubisoft logo and some thumping music over the top. Everything else in the footage pertains to games that have not been showcased in an official capacity just yet. It also includes a new IP that is being saved for the conference. Ubisoft has yet to offer any information about this new IP's setting, theme, and whether it's an RPG or a strategy game for example. However, the company has confirmed that it will be a multiplayer game with "strong live operations" and that the new IP will launch in the financial year.

Ubisoft will show us more of its upcoming video games during this afternoon's pre-E3 press conference. The publisher is set to go live at 1 p. Pacific Time today. We can expect a bunch more Far Cry 5 and Assassin's Creed Origins , though we saw the debut gameplay for the latter during Microsoft's presser yesterday. What else might Ubisoft show us? I wouldn't be surprised to see at least a portion of the show devoted to the Nintendo Switch.

The game has been in development for more than three years and is the first crossover of its kind. A lot of the demo was just Mario and a pair of Rabbids running about, but this is an action adventure game. The futuristic world of System 3 looks fantastic and gave us a good look at the upcoming title and thankfully revealed that neither of the original protagonists are a major part of the story. The Crew 2 got its first gameplay demo at the Ubisoft E3 press conference and for the first time, the series is going beyond cars to introduce planes, motorbikes, quads, boats and more. The game will include a variety of racing options from street racing in the cities or going off-roading in the stunning countryside with full freedom, to taking to the water with a variety of boat races on the open seas, through rapid water or narrow rivers.
