They are placed around two main routes, but there are also some extra light works, concerts, installation at museums and so on. Here is a gallery of some of the works. It being only on during winter period made it difficult to attend but was beautiful if you can stand the cold. Very pretty and enjoyed it howeverif you can walk it instead then do. We spent the entire boat trip de-fogging the window. We went around Christmas so it was also cold. We prefered walking and enjoying the lights better then the boat tour! Het Amsterdam Light Festival is een sinds jaarlijks terugkerend lichtfestival in de binnenstad van Amsterdam. Het vindt plaats in de maanden december en januari. Gedurende de festivalperiode zijn specifiek voor de gelegenheid ontworpen lichtkunstwerken en -installaties van hedendaagse internationale kunstenaars, designers en architecten tentoongesteld in de stad. Het evenement is een publiek-private samenwerking die is ondergebracht in een stichting. Het bestaat uit twee tentoonstellingen, een waterexpositie en een landexpositie.
